In Crimson Desert Enhanced, Kliff climbs cliffs and walls before leaping from high ground and gliding. A descent can carry him across a valley, with the journey continuing on horseback after landing. Pywel’s plains, forests, deserts and mountains connect through quests, encounters and paths to ancient ruins.

The search for surviving comrades leads Kliff through territories contested by rival factions. Between story missions, he gathers materials, cooks and improves his equipment. Expanding the Greymane camp is part of rebuilding the faction, while exploring the continent eventually takes him to the mysterious Abyss.

Features

Crimson Desert Enhanced leaves plenty of choices to the player: how to fight, what to ride and what to do with your comrades.

  • Difficulty to match your pace. On Easy, enemies are weaker and slower, and the parry and dodge windows are wider. Hard gives opponents more health and aggression, and bosses counterattack more often.
  • Forts and quarries. Liberated strongholds yield provisions, trade goods and other rewards. A separate setting controls how often enemies strike back, from never to frequently.
  • Taming beasts. A bear, wolf, deer, camel, lion or tiger can become a special mount: predators are subdued and fed first, while some species need their own approach. Baby wyverns grow when fed and, once grown, carry the hero too.
  • Switching heroes. Once Oongka and Damiane join, you can take control of them to travel, take on side quests and fight boss rematches. Each has their own weapons, skills and fighting style, so the same battle can play out differently.
  • House and comrades. The higher the Greymane camp’s level, the more house types you can choose from, up to a spacious Pailunese house. Recruited comrades can be dispatched on missions, scouting trips and excavations, with those who have the required skills listed first.
  • Forge and materials. Ore and other resources go into upgrading gear. If an upgrade proves unnecessary, a blacksmith returns part of the materials: rare ones in full, common ones at about 70%.
  • The Abyss. Sooner or later the story lifts Kliff into this realm in the skies, and since a July patch Oongka and Damiane can enter it too. Abyss-linked teleport points shorten trips across the continent.
  • Enhanced update. This build includes the free Enhanced update: new main-story scenes, eight skills for Kliff, a revised skill-learning system and separate skill resets for each character. It adds German, French, Spanish (Spain), Portuguese (Brazil) and Japanese voice-over, plus Arabic interface and subtitles.

Check the system requirements before installing: Steam lists an SSD and DirectX 12 as minimum requirements, along with 16 GB of RAM and 150 GB of available space.
